This lathe serves as a compliment to the Karen Studies cassette released by Scissor Tail Editions. While the cassette is a demonstration of a three form composition inspired by, and derived from, the music of Karen Dalton this lathe serves as a deeper exploration into the abstraction of those pieces.

Side A recorded November 30th, 2012 in Sauk Centre, MN during sessions intended for the cassette release. Side B recorded on July 8th, 2013 in Hudson, NY, the source material was the remnants of the tape loop constructed during a performance of Karen Studies on July 6th in Hudson.
